True learning can only take place if there is a relationship of mutual respect and trust between the child and the teacher, resulting in self-esteem and self-confidence.
Unique potential
Learning is about unfolding every human being’s unique potential and inner diversity. We are all unique and develop differently and therefore, we are not competitors. Diverse perspectives and multiple expressions should be encouraged and respected.
Active participant
The child is to be considered a partner, an active participant in education, not an object of some educational system. Learning can be only sustainable when actively engaged with by the children. In this kind of learning, adults are acting as enablers.
Integrated
Learning should lead to children’s well-being in an integrated way. We are living in a context and are all interconnected to other people, human constructions and nature. Development should not be only mental, but also physical, emotional and spiritual. By dealing with these 4 perspectives, learning will engage with the whole child and learning becomes a life-long experience.

This objective can be achieved by:

  • creating personal development courses for teachers and psychological school counselors
  • encouraging teachers and psychological school counselors to participate to the personal development courses
  • creating regional working points (personal development) to support teachers and psychological school counselors
  • involving clinical psychologists, psychotherapists, psychological counselors in the activities of personal development for adults and children
  • supporting the pyschological counselors in their own personal development process
  • collaborating with other organisations of Romania or other countries to permanently optimize Hora’s offer towards the Romanian participants
  • collaborating with the local authorities in the local implementation of Hora’s projects
  • organizing and supporting the promotion of the values, principles and projects of Hora
  • editing and distributing printed materials, audio and video, necessary for the promotion of the activities of Hora
  • organizing events for fundraising, necessary for the organisation of the activities
  • concluding contracts and conventions with different persons, retail and juridical, in order to realize the objectives
  • developing economical activities of our own, in order to autofinance Hora, if necessary.
